This manual is published to support requests under the Promotion of Access to Information Act and the Protection of Personal Information Act. It is a practical public guide for Sumtra users and data subjects.

The Information Officer function is handled through Sumtra management. Requests must be sent to info@sumtra.app. Sumtra will update this manual if dedicated Information Officer details change.
We process personal information about account owners, business users, customer contacts, suppliers, employees, website visitors, payment contacts, and support requesters. Processing purposes include providing the platform, securing accounts, generating business records, billing, support, reporting, compliance, and legal obligations.
Subject to applicable law, data subjects may request access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, restriction, or information about processing. Requests should identify the requester, the relevant business or account, and the records concerned.
To cancel a business subscription, sign in, open Account > Businesses, and use Cancel Billing for the relevant business. Billing is managed per business. If you cannot access the account, or if you need help cancelling a subscription, email info@sumtra.app from the account owner's email address.
To request deletion of personal information or business data, use the account deletion option where available or email info@sumtra.app. Requests should identify the account, business workspace, and records involved. We may ask for proof of identity and authority before acting.
Requests for access to records should be sent to info@sumtra.app. We may require proof of identity, authority to act for a business, clarification of the records requested, and any legally prescribed request forms or fees where applicable.
Access may be refused, limited, or delayed where permitted by law, including to protect another person's privacy, confidential business information, platform security, privileged information, legal claims, or records that belong to another business workspace.
Feature suggestions, product recommendations, and improvement requests may be sent to info@sumtra.app. Please mark the email as a product suggestion if it is not a privacy or PAIA request.
If you believe your personal information has been handled unlawfully, you may contact us first at info@sumtra.app. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
This manual may be updated as Sumtra's operations, records, legal obligations, or Information Officer details change.
